I seem to have this problem of checking on the river when I have the best hand. With his $5 bet and call of my raise on the turn, I didn't want to get trapped with a check raise. He easily could have been holding AK trying to lay the trap.

Should I have put him all in on the river?

I would of made a stronger raise on the turn. With the size of the pot you could of got away with raising more and it would still look like top pair nice kicker and not spooking him that u had 2-pair. With him already betting $5...if he did hold A-K (or even K-10 [it was a weak pre-flop raise]) your raise is easily jusified in an attempt to catch his straight.

Just noticed the turn brought another heart as well...if he was holding Ah-Kh or Kh-10h then he easily cud call your raise on the turn.

All your raise did was put the thought to him that u had a good hand, this when u have the nuts can be a good play, but when u had 2 pair and people are calling your raises is just going to make u more and more indecisive about the strength of your own hand.

Turn raise size depends on you opponent. Only mistake I see here is not betting the river, like you said. I like the respect for the A-T straight, but if he hung around with Big Slick through all of that, pay him off. You're good on the river at least 80% of the time.

I'm not a huge fan of betting the river myself if I have a hand that wouldn't like to be re-raised. If I suspect i'm winning but not 100% if its checked to me on the river ill check. I suppose its the old addage, if you are beat they will call / re-raise. If you have them beaten they will usually fold so why risk the extra $$.

I'd be happy with the current size of the pot. Maybe i'm loseing money here :P

I'm not sure about the slow play. I could see it two ways. Way #1 you could bet the flop which would have him thinking AQ or AJ. I don't think he'll suspect you for QJ. Either way with AA he'll call. On the turn, I'd bet if checked or raise if he bet. A "6" isn't threatening to his AA, so I'd be confident in a bet from him. With the 10 on the river, I'd probably play it the same as you did for the straight possibility. Way #2 - Slowplay in this scenario could have a big outcome. With no suited cards on the board there isn't a flush possibility so a raise on the turn would be nice. I would have made it a little larger though. He could see this as a trap. Why would you bet with a 6 on the board? It'd smell fishy to me, which is probably why he checked the river.

Personally, I would have reraised the turn to $15. If he folds then you take down the pot. If he calls then you bet the rest of your stack on the river. Its his own fault. If he raises bigger preflop then you probably throw your hand away.
