Default Should I make calls like this?

Heres a couple hands I mb should have called or they were nice folds let me know what you think. The 1st hand was against a real loose player. I had taken a nice pot from him a few hands before. The 2nd hand I folded after the flop, but would have won after seeing the rest of the board. I folded to a pretty big bet cause I am tired of losing good starting hands, cause the board doesnt hit for me. I have lost alot of hands like this even pairing the A on the flop, to a set. The size of his bet made me think he had a set, plus I was on a draw to any pair anyway. It is upsetting to fold a hand when you find out you would have won a pretty nice pot. If I made the right decision though I'd feel a little better. Did I do the right thing?

First hand: Raise preflop. Cbet flop, then re-evaluate the turn. Makes decisions easier. As played, a semibluff all-in would be cool. He will fold his overcards and maybe even his overpair. Anyway, you got outs.

Second hand. Don't minbet out of position. Good fold.

First hand: as said, raise preflop and I definitely would go all-in here if he's not a very tight player
    2nd hand: check the flop

Jeez you are extremley loose/passive (BIG DONATOR ) Hand #1 raise that baby preflop, on that flop the dude seriously overbet, considering he is the preflop aggresor he probably has an overpair and is seriously protecting his hand, maybe KK or JJ it's a very marginal situation you are either a small favorate against the jacks or slightly behind against the kings, either way your only options here are raise or fold

Hand #2, with AKs I reraise preflop making it $12 to go and pop about 2/3 on the flop. But considering you only called you are uanble to make that play. Also ------NEVER------- gaybet out of position, $4 into a $12 pot when you are first to act is a meaningless bet that accomplishes nothing and will only get you into trouble.

you need to become more AGGRESIVE, do more aggresive bets in relation to the pot, never bet more than 1/2 the pot unless you are value betting the river even then, i say 1/2 is a BEAR minimum.

If you want to see how I personally play the hands you can check it out here: http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?p...er=TalentedTom

The results are irrelivant just dumb as much money into the pot as you can when you feel you have the best hand, raise very aggresivley, this is the only way to play NL and profit.

Thanks for the advice. I started playing more aggresively. Higher preflop raises etc. It helped alot. I had gotten a little scared from previously making bigger bets preflop, only to not connect anything on the flop. So I started not betting much. After you all assuring me that I NEED to bet my good hands. I felt better about doing it. Even when I didnt connect, I still knew I did the right thing.
