Slow playing a flopped flush?

I flopped a monster flush and had a pretty tight table (see 'em all fold?), so I went to the classic slowplay, which doesn't usually work out too great for me. The only guy that stayed in with me made pot sized bets, which I would have made anyway, so that was welcome. I put him on 2pr/trips/med flush, because he limped in, so I was watching for the paired board. You see any way that I could have gotten more money here?

I think I may have over done it with the river bet, but I was trying to rep a missed flush while still getting money in the pot.

Again, is asshat a verb?

If it was a tight table and you don't think you could get more money, I'd try either checking the river, or betting all in... the first one is more likely to succeed if you think he sees you as a chaser. The second one sometimes works, because it's SUCH a ridiculous overbet.

Either raise the turn or try for the check raise on the river.

My favourite play though would be to check/call the flop, bet the turn then check/raise the river. It really throws off the fish.

Last night I had almost the same flop flush situation, but I had a pfr on

to an board.
But the table was different, looser, so I tried the usual pot sized bet, got one raiser, whom I reraised on flop, turn and river, but he didn't call my river reraise -- I got all but 3 of his dollars --
he was a fish with 2pr and 4 outs,
not like andr3w321 who had more smarts and more outs with his trips -- $39 pot, vs a $17 pot. Much better this time -- 'Rilla says I was stupid the first time.

The thing i dont like about this, is that your in first postion. So I think you check-raise the turn because your going to act first on the river anyways. If he is chaisng with Qs then he will probably call a $2-$4 reraise, and if he still has 2pr he will probably call.

If he does call your reraise you could try to be tricky and check the river, possibly inducing a bluff. Or just make a value bet on the river.
