yea the turn bet seems to signify a made hand of some kind

i thought that too, but then the massive number of draws on the board that didn't complete + his river check.... idk.

I would check behind but I am chicken

id raise the flop, i only play the turn like this against players who arent betting a one pair hand here. I think if you make your hand on the river hes going to call off a significant amount of his stack anyways especially on the flush but possibly on the straight.
IMO, these guys play bad enough, if i assume 200nl on FT is similar to party, to pay off your made hands anyway so buying a free card > semi-bluffing the turn.

Here's my thought process for what its worth.

Flop: I could raise, but im in the middle of a large field (out of relative position from the leadbettor), so better to just call.

Turn: I have a lot of good outs this looks like a "defending a semi-strong hand donkbet (perhaps a weak K or a turned weak two pair. He could have anything given that he checked in the BB). Given the fact that my raising the turn after calling the flop looks like a huge hand, plus the fact that I have 15 good outs, a raise seemed automatic as played.

River: Ace is a good card to represent, on top of the fact that I represented a set on the turn. I could also have the nut straight. So I push for less than a pot sized bet. He folds this 40% of the time and its +EV. Does he not even fold this much???

preflop / flop is good, but turn raise is bad. you can win a big pot on river if you improve, no need to bluff at it.

I would put villain on AdXd in which case he just hit top pair and is probably not folding. I also just call the turn and evaluate the river. Just calling the turn gives you more room to maneuver a river bluff/value bet where raising the turn sets up for an all in when you're only making a hand 30% of time?
I also don't think you have that much f/e in this super-multiway pot. I doubt (sucks that you have no reads) that he plays TPWK like this.

I wouldn't put you on a set here. and only Qd10d really makes sense for the nut straight.

If I'm villain I am insta-calling with two pair here because it's too likely that you have the hand that you indeed do have.

I don't like this at all. Not enough people are capable of folding hands at this level, and without a read I think you need to default to assuming your opponent is one of them. You know how many people pay you off when you push a made hand. What makes you think they're going to start folding when you're bluffing instead?

Oh just reread my posts and they sound harsh. I don't think you played this hand horribly, and I sometimes play this hand the exact same way, but I usually get called on the river and I think you did too

Not really a question of whether I would. More of a question, is would they think I would? The answer is yes.

BTW I am capable of just calling on the flop here with a made hand.

1.There are several players who checked and are still to act. Raising would most likely blow them out of the pot. Plus, if they are going for a check raise, they'll raise and I will win a ton of dead money from the calls.

2. Its a multiway pot, which means it gets big at a much faster rate than a headsup pot. So theres not as much need to build the pot with a raise.

3. When the pot is this small, giving cheap cards isn't as big of a deal.

Why is he check/calling the flop then leading the turn? You're talking a lot about what you're repping but what is he repping and can he lay it down? No draws complete on the turn. With no reads on this guy I assume the turn gave him two-pair and he's not capable of folding it. With the river you're saying I have the straight, but the only Q10 to make it this far is suited diamonds.

his turn bet into a bunch of opponents signifies a made hand, hes not folding to your raise.

i just call the turn. riv looks like desperation bet.

Is it always bad to raise here btw?

I much prefer calling in position on the turn with two hidden draws that are likely to get paid off if they hit.

I see this line from a turned set for villain a ton.
