before villain arrived, was splashing around here and there. Lately, tight. Picking up small pots here and there.

The way it was played, he might as well been playing with his cards face up on the table it was so transparant. He obviously had it.

This is the flip side of being so darn aggro. We get other people to overplay QQ/JJ/air here often enough that you just can't make this a routine laydown.

I used to not think twice about playing it like this. For 70bb I still don't. For 100bb I'm not happy. At 130bb consider if it's worth it, as I think this is about a coin flip. Tight/passive can have the $5, if he bluffed me out of it, then good for him.

Yeah, it's funny because if he even plays his aces with any normal amount of agression, he's getting my stack here.

As it was played, I'm absolutely folding anything but KK/AA here preflop and I considered dumping KK preflop. Once I call preflop I'm committed post-flop though...

He is obviously afraid of someone cracking his AA.
Pre-flop re-raise of 5 times Hero's bet. How many hands do this? It is AA or somebody wanting to show off a 72 bluff for ego/table image.

Don't feel bad, I usually push that pre-flop. I can gift wrap my stack for him for an extra charge.

It depends. Against a tight/passive full-buy comming out of the SB I'm more inclined to give him credit, but stakes are only a small part of that conclusion.

I think you are overestimating the ability of the average NL100 player.

That said, I think the actual player in question is far more important than the stakes that this occurs at...
