Super Easy call?

    Default Super Easy call?

I'm 99% sure this is the right call. He limped, so I didn't think he had AK, plus he just called my flop raise instead of reraising. I didn't have a read as I had only been there for an orbit or two.

No read you gotta call here.

You limped, you caught your set, you got it all in. Meh.

I raise pre-flop and go berzerk from there...

Call. At 25NL, he doesn't need a boat to make that bet, he just needs an ace. I say you win like 80% or 90% of these in an unraised pot.

I think hes got an A with a kicker around a nine. You have this pot most of the time, unless he's really tricky he doesn't have AK.
You should never wave at people you don't know, cause what if they don't have a hand. They'll think you're cocky. "Look what I got motherfucker, this thing is useful, I'ma go pick somethin up."

Opp has AJ. Call all day long.

He had A3 and rivered another Ace for quads - the long way. I was hoping he had Ax because it would be easy to get him committed.

Fnord, I didn't raise preflop because I didn't have a feel for the table yet. I did mix u p raising and limping my PPs later, but usually limped because the tables were pretty loose. In fact, the reason my stack was $52 is because I hit trip ducks the orbit before this.

Sorry to hijack here (although i blame Fnord... ) but Fnord, why do you call with 88? are you planning to bet at weakness if he checks the turn or are you planning to reraise him if he bets again because you think you are ahead?
What hand do you put him on here?
I think he could have a small PP or possibly overcards. What do you think?

I think he has two cards. The flop likely missed both of us and he's making the first move at the pot or trying to determine if 3x is any good. I called to see a turn and feel out where he was at without building a pot.

Fnord how would you have played the turn if a blank fell (2-7)and he checked to you?

Either bet/fold or check behind is my plan for any turn card if checked to. Which line I take depends as much on the player as anything else.
