    Default Terrible play? Feedback needed!

After I won this hand, my oponent said something like:
"It's sick how bad you can play and still win" . Myself, I was quite happy about how I played the hand. I trust this forum to tell me if he was right about my play. Shoot

the only bad play I see here is him not raising you on the flop. He tried to slow play his queens and got what he deserved for it.

i dont like your post hand play ... after you won you should have rubbed it in that you were swimming in his stack of chips.

Well, I had to return half his stack on the turn since my stack was too small to take it all...pity...in fact I didn't answer his 3-4 angry comments at all.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't betting the pot on a straight draw an incorrect play? (ie. you don't have pot odds?)

well, there is only one overcard here...so I would say no.

The reason for the bet is to hopefully fold an AK or AQ, I'm not sure I like it though unless his opponent was spewing out 8BB pre flop raises all the time, I feel the flop bet was bigger than necessary to get information if he was up against overcards or an overpair. After that flop bet his opponent had 2 plays either fold or raise. He needed to decide right there if he had the best hand or not. Instead he let him see the next card for free and then go all in when he was beat...poor play

table trash talk is great... you piss someone off they will call your all-in bets when you hold the nuts... i was doing it last night on party poker, in the span of about 2 hours i left the table with 160$ at 25NL

This is a good description of my thoughts during the hand. My read said: pretty tight player that could well be holding AK or AQ here and he had been doing some blind stealing this way earlier. I wanted to make him think I had a set or even a straight and I had a non bluffing tight image on the table, therefor the size of the bet. I aggree with Cocco_Bill that he should have raised or folded and his all in after the turn seems very risky to me....and why check the flop with QQ here at all? The check made me think he had AK or AQ even more, so maybe it was some kind of slow play trap?

Opp was trying to get tricky and it bit him in the ass.

I like your play. The only possible exception is if this opp usually makes a continuation bet postflop no matter what. If you have no read, or he checks with nothing frequently, then I like this. Your 99 beats just about as many hands at top pair on the flop, and assuming his check can be read as weakness, it's a decent value bet. When he called, you should have known to slow down unless you hit...and you did hit, so score!
