Default There has to be a better way to play the hand...

The Dreaded Big Slick OOP. When I play it fast, I get stacked. When I slow down, I feel like I fold the best hand. Basically I don't know how to play this correctly. The AI at the end especially made no sense in retrospect.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Flop: ($12.80) 2, 5, A (4 players, 1 all-in)
SB bets $2, UTG folds, Hero raises to $8, SB calls $6.

    Turn: ($28.80) 9 (3 players, 1 all-in)
    SB checks, Hero checks.

    River: ($28.80) K (3 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, Hero calls $11.65 (All-In), SB calls $11.65.

    Final Pot: $52.10

    Results in white below:
SB has Ad Qs (one pair, aces).

I bet the turn again. It's another harmless card. The river push is standard.
My sig is too much for you to handle.

Anyone else reraise PF? I would....isolation against the shorty is goot in a lot of situations.

I raise flop to almost size of the pot. Maybe $12.

    I bet turn.

    River push standard.

My thought process was as such:

Pre-flop I wasn't going to re-raise to isolate the shortie because as far as I was concerned with him, his $2.95 stack didn't really factor in. I WANTED someone else. I got 2 someone elses. Ruh oh.

On the flop a $2 bet into a $12 pot was either one of two things: a really weak attempt to take the pot (to which I should re-raise, which was good) or ridiculous bet designed to get a raise and then push over top of (which I probably would have folded to... right or wrong?).

The turn was a check behind because I still had it in my mind he had 55 and was slowplaying it so I wanted another street to evaluate. If he checked the river, he either had infinite patience (incredibly unlikely as I had been playing rock tight) or I was good.

River check comes and now I have aces up, beating anything weaker like A5 or AQ. However I didn't think he would call an AI given his actions and I was going to bet only $6 looking for a call but I got distracted by my phone and pushed and called anyway. Still, if I was that afraid of 55, my aces up were beat anyway and... I don't know. I'm just wary of getting stacked with TPTK or 2 pair when I think I'm against a set.

This hand I played a really weird mixture of loose (pre-flop), semi-aggressive (flop re-raise but probably not enough), scared (check behind), and given my previous actions, nonsensically aggressive again (AI push). I just... don't really know how to play it in general. When I'm full steam ahead like I said, I'll be committed (say $7 to win $35) by the time I get re-raised, and when I play more cautiously I feel like I get pushed off. Basically I gotta let the doubt go and just play it standardly then?

Lots of people play thinking what cards can help them (ooh I've got midpair, inside straight, and a backdoor flush), but I tend to think what hands have me crushed and if I had these specific hands in the villain's place, would I play them the way he's playing? Is that self-defeating? Because there's nearly always gonna be hands that beat yours.

I like your line. River push almost looks like a donk bluff after your opponents showed weakness...

I am not sure, but I might have called this with AQ aswell, just because your line doesn't seem to make sense. Not playing predictable, thats's a goal, and you achieved it...
