People let me tell you about my best friends...

Default Top pair and flush draw; encounter push

Dennis is ultra LAP; 75/8, but I only saw him over two dozen hands...thoughts on flop play?

BTW--this is NOT my typical play with A9, I guess I was feeling a bit frisky.

Unless this guy is a total maniac he has a big pair, doesn't put you on a made hand and wants to protect.

You don't have the pot odds to draw to the flush and your pair is most likely no good. There is a chance he's bluffing but they're slim IMO unless you have reads.

This decision comes down to whether you want to gamble or not.

I don't mind the pre-flop raise, but I dump to re-raise from a loose passive. I know it's small, but you have a reverse implied odds hand.

As played, I call the push. You're only a slight dog to his range (QQ+/AQ imo) and there's enough dead money to make it a call, especially since you're shortstacked. Top off, btw!
