Default top two against a lag, $100 NL

Villain is 44/22 over a small sample size, and is aggressive when entering a pot. Should I have folded at any point in this hand? River okay? I think I played this hand very poorly as villain shows strength on flop and turn, but I think I am getting his stack if I hit my boat. I think flush is unlikely with the small river bet and the double raises. I should be looking at JJ/88 here right?

I think 9T is much more likely if he has a > 2 pair hand.

Even though your hand hasn't improved I'd push the river after his small bet because I'd feel very stupid if he has A8 or A7ss/A2ss. I'm greedy and want more value. He knows you're not likely folding yet he only throws up $50?

edit: I didn't realize you posted results until after I posted...you shouldn't post results so it doesn't sway anybodys posts.

given his stats 44/22 and aggressiveness, im playing this for stacks on the flop or turn. I probably would 3bet over his raise on the flop. Then just shove turn, but as played, push over raise on turn.

Against LAG I would 3-bet flop. And ready to play
for stacks. Put your chips in middle when you have
    the best of it.

88 is possible of course but there are more other possibilities.
I dont really fear JJ here.

Flush draw is more likely then a set on that flop imo, with an open ender just as likely

I stack off to the set and get it all in on the flop or turn. Before seeing the results I thought TP and a flush draw. Turns out just top pair. I think he was disrespecting your hand more than valueing his. But the river call was a pot control bet. I don't know if he would have called the push by then.

I have a horrible time with two pair hands. As with most people, I lose more money on those than anything else.

Alternative question, if the flop came something like T4A, and he raises, then it becomes an easy fold on flop, right?

Yeah, get it all in. I'm looking at J8, A8, or a flush draw on the flop and turn. On the river he obviously has a good hand, but it's still a call.
