TT developing to a straight

I don't like my turn play - I think MP3 had me beat. I'm not sure if I should have bet harder or played safer, however. Part of me likes a bigger bet on the flop too.

I don't like your PF. what gives?

The turn, I dunno. MP3 likely has a jack, but CO's play is weird. Keeps betting fractions of the pot with a somewhat bold bet at the end. Another 10? T9?

Confused ... raising PF woulda made it easier to sort out.

I agree about the pf. With position, I should have bet here, for sure. I think I've just ingrained into myself after talking with ilikeaces that TT is a call/look for set style hand. But again, that's ignoring position, and doing that in this hand wasn't the best way to play it.

I hate raising TT preflop on anything less then 100$NL, unless I'm going for a blind steal anyway, but this is more a general playstyle...

I don't like your play on this hand. I fold on the flop. Way to many people in this pot that could, and probably, have a jack. You don't even have the nut straight on the river.

Fold on the flop and that prevents any of these other decisions later.

I'm curious: what about the PF action makes it more likely that there are jacks in people's hands? You said "probably"

I like this point. QT would actually be a decent explanation for CO's actions -- juicing the pot, basically. CO limped pf after two other limpers, and QT explains that too I think.

Ding ding. CO had QT. I'm positive that MP3 had a J, which makes me agree with most of what you said. Still, holding the other pair on an otherwise paired board can easily be the winning hand, and I've got that beat. Given that, I'm not unhappy with my flop play. The turn is where I'd say I should have folded.

Actually, come to think of it, I'm still not sure about this play. Here's my thinking:

Two Js on the board; one 9. Before the reraise on the turn, nothing about it makes Jx more likely than 9x. In fact, 9x is more likely since there are more out.

Assuming MP3 was likely to have the J from the rerasie:

2 Ts + 4 8s = 6 outs. 13% to come on the river. $3 into a $27 pot means that if I can make ANYTHING on the river when I hit, this is +EV. The presence of QT screws this up, but that goes back to the argument about raising in position preflop.
