you could argue with how I played them, but...

...in the space of about 6 hands, I get dealt the SAME NUT STRAIGHT with the SAME HOLE CARDS.. and both get paid.

    What are the chances!

You didn't have the same hole cards both times. Also neither time did you have the nut straight. Nonetheless, it is strange to have that happen in such a short span.

I meant I flopped the same nut straight, and ok, the cards weren't EXACTLY the same, nitpicker.

Some people just can't handle their min-raises.

I've been thinking about the first hand.. and I have a couple of questions for you guys.

    1. Do I want the other two in the hand, or was it right to move in? I don't know what the hell either of them were doing, they hadn't struck me as particularly fishy before. Thing is,

    (a) it's a rainbow flop, so obviously no flush chasers
    (b) WIth the action, the likelihood is SOMEONE flopped a set. When button raised my pot building min raise, I'm thinking it's him, OR (less likely) he has the same hand as me. If someone has a set, they still have a lot of outs for the boat. BUT if two of them have a set or if one has a set and the other has two pair there's less outs in the deck for each to catch. (Let's assume the fourth player gets out of there)

So, instead of moving in, should I just have re-reraised to further build the pot, or just called? Given the action, I know that if the board pairs I'm screwed, in that case I might have made the (horribly tough) laydown knowing that I can't possibly still be ahead with all that action beforehand. But if I move in, I sweat it out heads up for all my chips.

    2. If you were button, how would you have played it postflop?

    Thanks guys.

for hand one you want everyone in as far as possible...at this level if someone did flop a set no way they are laying it down for ANYTHING on the flop..so you want them with you

that's what I thought. So there was no merit to pushing? Just thinking, if I could have involved them all in a raise war I would have won a MONSTROUS pot. I wonder how far in those other two folks could have been dragged. Or Button would probably have pushed following another raise from me.
