Default Under-full vs a line that screams the nuts

    UTG+1 is just terrible
SB is 37/9, straight forward and donkish. I've been robbing him blind.

Anyway can I fold this river?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    MP2 ($19.35)
    CO ($221.95)
    Button ($161.05)
    SB ($66.95)
    BB ($24)
    UTG ($23)
    UTG+1 ($60.65)
    Fnord ($167.70)

    Preflop: Fnord is MP1 with 5, 4.
    1 fold, UTG+1 calls $1, Fnord calls $1, 2 folds, Button calls $1, SB raises to $2, 1 fold, UTG+1 calls $1, Fnord calls $1, Button calls $1.

    Flop: ($9) 4, 6, 7 (4 players)
SB checks, UTG+1 bets $3, Fnord calls $3, Button calls $3, SB calls $3.

    Turn: ($21) 4 (4 players)
SB checks, UTG+1 bets $3, Fnord raises to $20, Button folds, SB calls $20, UTG+1 calls $17.

    River: ($81) 5 (3 players)
    SB bets $41.95 (All-In), UTG+1 folds, Fnord ???

I'd say not a chance. If he's a true donk, he could have AKd or AA here. If he has 55-77 I'll pay it off.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

I cried, thought that, cried some more, then called.

Stupid drawer on an over-call bloated the pot...

I hope he didn't have something retarded like 8 7.

How bad is a fold here?

I would call. You're hand is somewhat disguised and a flush/straight could easily push this river, not to mention 3-1. What is your image like Fnord? Depending on your image I'm not a big fan of the huge turn raise. You have a pretty good hand and a nice re-draw (but far from a monster), and I think raising like this only chases out better hands that you might've got more out of on the river. What was your plan on a blank river? Check behind?

I raised it up hard for value, protection and to make for easy descisions later in the hand. After raising the turn that hard, it's an easy laydown to a 3-bet and creates the option of checking this behind on the river.

One more thing Fnord. I think for this hand a flop raise would work much better than the turn raise because when the turn pairs 4's, it's much harder to put you on trips here versus if you raise when the board pairs, it's almost transparent. Plus a flop raise will most likely fold out a lot of better hands as well as 5x.
