That was very nice of him, he could have leaked your stack the whole hand if he wasn't being so accomodating.

Well i can understand his flop/turn play. He doesnt know i have a set too. But the river call

Agreed, I can remember lots of times a player has let me off when I was willing to call an AI.
But his call is understandable, there are a couple of hands that beat his…36, 68. They are not terribly likely but it is possible.

you didnt hear this from me, But...

One time I CALLED a big river bet, on the button, with 4 of a kind... we both had like 3 times the buyin, and I know I would have had his stack... He had top full house... Turned what should have been at $300 pot into a $75 pot!

Guess i'm not perfect after all....

    Q. Is poker Gambling?
    A. Do you use correct bankroll management?

I guess he thought funkfella was check raising, or that you'd both fold to his raise so he would get more if he called and funkfella called behind.

Also, the straight scare. He let anyone who might have been drawing get the card for free so when you start betting on it he might think you hit (which seems odd given he called you down), so he's just careful on the river. If funkfella does check-raise the river then you have to worry about that straight, he was the BB after all, and he doesn't want to get caught by the re-raise if he raises you.

I don't think it's that absurd, certainly not good play on his behalf, but not god awful. He just didn't properly decide whether he thought the straight was there and what he was going to do about it.
