It looks okay in position like that.

But I always figure (especially at this limit) if he's got a big hand, he's paying me off anyway, so why slowplay it?

A lot of these guys will get it all in preflop with AK, but they wimp out when they miss the board (rightfully so). So I probably reraise.

As it stands, I think you probably should raise the flop or the turn so you can get all the money in by the river. Luckily he just pushed.

I think its fine, any big pair you can stack anyway and a raise could stop him bluffing AK or overplaying a mid overpair. If he checks at any point I'd bet and I'd raise any <AI river bet.

He did all the betting for you. With no high cards on the board I am not afraid of a set. Can't press CALL button fast enough.

I think it's better to build the pot up in case an ace or other scare card for them falls. I would reraise (not too high) on the flop and/or the turn. Make him committed earlier.

If you re-raise on the flop or turn, You prevent A/K from firing the second and third bullet.

I figure if he's doing the betting, and the board is safe like that, might as well just call him down.

I might re-raise the turn, but never that flop because if he doesn't have an overpair you kill the action.

If he didn't push the river you just lost alot of value from AA playing this way. Raising the flop to say $4 or $6 builds up the pot and he may 3bet anyway. If he checks the turn, put out a 1/2 bet which he will probably call. Then by the river he's either leading out or calling a value bet (or possibly folding).

Say you play it your way. The pot by the river is ~$15. He only put in $7 and does not feel committed if he wants to let it go.

Say you play it my (ultimate best - no discussion) way. The pot is ~$15 on the flop. Even if somehow this is checked down, you got the money while you could. If he folds to your flop raise - he doesn't have a hand that he's willing to put much more money in with anyway.

Slowplay = slow profits in most cases. You just got lucky (or unlucky) here.

I'm guessing Iowa got unlucky ... but it would be interesting to know what hand he got beat by.

I have to admit I was shaking my head when I saw him call the all-in, but then I looked at the HH again and noticed he was raised pre-flop to $2 by the big blind. This absolutely screams of QQ or KK and, tbh, it's hard to see A3s, 88 or 77 re-raising pre-flop at $25.

If he's asking whether he got lucky on the river with the other guy pushing, then yes, I guess he did (assuming he did win). I personally would have re-raised on the turn just in case AKh was out there, but tbh it really seems like this guy did his betting for him so there can be no complaints.
