    Default What does he have??

I was only playing 42s cos of a cold run of cards (didn't want to seem like a rock). Was in late position, so I thought it was OK to play...

Normally would, but that's irrelevant since I explained why I got myself into that situation. Was just wondering if the straight was strong enough to call in this situation... (+EV?)

I think so. I doubt QQ, seems like someone who barely raises with QQ preflop would also checked if they hit. AA is the only hand I see beating you but I think its +EV, he could have AK, AQ, AJ? or just a str8 up bluff with something like JJ.

The min-raise from the SB looks fishy to me. Do you have any reads on this guy? Does he min-raise big pairs? Does he min-raise small pairs?

It really seems like he thinks he has you beat. I don't think a lot of people check-raise the river on a bluff. If he puts you on at least an A, that would give him AQ, A5, 3x, AA, QQ, 55, or 33. If he puts you on a lower pocket pair, he could just have Ax, especially Ax of hearts.

I would probably call without a read, but I wouldn't be entirely surprised if he flipped over AA and took the pot.

He could have A3s but I'm just guessing that because it sounds like he won.

No real reads. He was pretty tight, but raised prf when he had something good, so with the minraise I wasn't expecting AA...

I ended up crossing my fingers, calling and hitting the reload button. He flipped over AA and took the pot, nice read Zangief.

Just check behind on a paired board without strong reads. Say to yourself "ah they woulda folded anyway" so you don't feel bad about the value bets you missed. For every 5 times you pick up a 5$ value bet, you lose one 25$ bet when you get pushed over by a slowplayed boat.

Now make sure you mark this down in his notes, so it is obvious next time.

At NL$25 on Party, a lot of fishy players min-raise AA-QQ, especially in spots where it makes no sense - like UTG or in the blinds.
