ok, guess I'll tell you my thought process then anyway, perhaps it aint as interesting a hand as I thought.
Preflop -
First, I know villain will usually only play decent cards out of position since he is a standard ABC player. Second the standard raise at the table is to $2, and he makes it $3 to go UTG. To me this says he has AK, AA-TT. Most likely QQ or JJ since his slight overraise is basically saying I'll make you pay to hit a flop cause I've got my pair already.
Flop -
He was preflop aggressor and one of three things has happened - based on the hands I put him on preflop, he's either got the same as me, missed it with J's or it slapped him in the face. His check makes me think I have to find out which, so I bet half the pot, if he has AK I figure he'll reraise to see if I really hit it. His flat calls makes me think he's definitely got me beat, but with what ?
Turn -
Another check, expecting me to bet again he either has KQ, AA KK or QQ
KQ is small chance because of his PF raise, KK unlikely since I have a K and I think he'd just do a standard raise with KK or AA preflop. That leaves me with Queens.
River -
He finally bets what he thinks is the biggest bet I'll call since I might now have hit something. He's praying I had a big enough hand to call his quads and pay him off. He has four queens.
I tell him in the chat that I know he has quads but I'll pay it off just to prove myself right (no i dont do this regularly) I call and he shows QQ and accusing me of cheating and leaves.
To me, this is really the only hand that made sense with the betting story of the hand and the read I had on the player. KK was possible too, but was less likely.
Over-analysed ? Probably. But i enjoyed it.
