He played his TPTK.. unusually.. made me think he was semi-bluffing so I pushed all in to discourage a draw
what should I have done?

Any hand that will raise or call a raise preflop that isnt a pp has you beat and probably dominated.

This is a pretty good example of how bad position and an average hand can get you into trouble. I assume you would not have called the raise if you had been on the button.

What hand that he will min raise with does KT beat? If you say low PP, then what happens when the board comes K97? AI? Yea we see that didn't work as planned

KT is not really much of an early position hand.. i dont even play it on the button unless its folded to me and i can hit the blinds for a 4x the BB raise.

and if they call, i play it for straight value (which is near zilch) TP play with KTs is about as lousy as KJ

if he has a draw, bet 3/4 the pot on the turn. going all in is completely unnecessary. sure you may have the best hand, and hell, you might even be able to push better hands off...but you played that wayyy too aggressively. you check-raised him with tpgk...you dont really get many reads off that.

if you lead out and he raised, youd get a better read. by raising his raise (and having it be called) you have no idea what he has. a draw or tptk does the same.

this was a bit too tricky for my liking.
