Ive called a number of these recently to find im good a lot more often than i thought especially when its played this way. King isnt that scary is it?

everything is scary, and he is in the BB which widens his hand range. any connector or 1-gapper from 23 to 67 is a straight or 2 pair, and any king is top pair.

Why the low turnbet? It's pretty obvious he's drawing right?

You don't think stuff like 99/TT plays like this? I was looking to buy myself a showdown on the turn. Win good money against draws, keep the pot under control against made hands, etc.

Its wuss-like, but I'd probably call the flop bet and call or bet the turn if checked to, then try and show down cheap. In an unraised pot there are a plethora of reasonable hands that beat you.

Yeah, my hand has some horrible reverse implied odds.

However, I think on the flop raising > calling. Over-calls would suck and lots of turn cards are going to be ugly.

Actually I hadn't noticed that you were the raiser UTG. Ya raising the flop is good here.

i don't play 100NL but im sure he had you beat not with the king either a set 2 pair or a straight

Good flop raise, but check behind on the turn and hope he checks the river to you as well.

Lots of players will call the flop raise and fold to aggression on the turn without improvement. Checking the turn will make most players bet the river....easy bluff to make and a hard bet for Fnord to call. Betting the turn puts the villian to the test instead of putting Fnord to a tough decision on the river. I can't imagine a hand that villain holds on the river and bets with that Fnord can beat although a bluff could be made here...just not sure what he would stay with on the flop and turn that can bluff on the river.

How does your line change if the villain is the CO instead of the BB?
