I wouldn't say the call was a disaster, you also hit the flop pretty hard, just bad luck is all, not much you could have done . . .
Poker is all about the long long long long long long long term . . .
    Barney's back . . . back again . . .

    T9s is not crap!

You got your trips set, tough break. Once again, weak betting on the flop + turn. If you got re-raised on the flop, then you have a HOPE of laying this one down.

I realize it was a lot of bad luck but, I shouldn't of called a 1.50 raise and it would be heads-up, should I? I thought it was pretty darn loose call even though it could have been a blind steal. I like to play mid suited connectors when there is a multiway pot not heads-up. Am I wrong? I didn't mean the hand itself was crap, more that the call was probably bad.

You had a nearly $40 stack, with the raiser covering you, so the implied odds might be there. A pocket pair it ain't. From the SB, it's a marginal call. A great call if you can steal or take cheap cards often enough.

You could have done 2 things better. Bet out on the flop $2 to see where you were. In this case he would probably smooth call until you hit the str8 on the river in which case you were doomed anyway. You should have reraised his weak lead with a pot sized bet. If he called that slow it down and get out when he comes over the top.

I think my flaw was not doing a best hand review. I never even put him on the possibility of JJ which is a major problem. But I thought i had a great slowplaying hand. I didn't want him to think i had a ten. When I caught the straight on the river, I thought I was even better. He may put me on a ten but not 9 10. Overall it was a case of bad luck. I had to call the river no matter what, any bet at any time I was dead.
