    Default introductions

just joined the table... I play at pokerstars, and since the us of a doesn't trust us to be able to gamble our own money responsibly I am stuck playing for fake chips... I enjoy actually 'playing' the game of poker, using strategy to figure ppl out and what not. it has become the norm to just push it in pre flop with mid range cards and let the program sort out the winners. that crap irritates me, but oh well what can ya do right?? there are always ja's to compete with. so I joined a few clubs and found that to be fun. sure there are always donks but at least you can make friends with some of them...

theres still options for playing for real money for US players rather than play chips. Bovada is meant to be pretty soft.

I checked out the bovada site. looks like it would be more designed with the sports better in mind. not my thing. although it does have blackjack and I enjoy that. didn't see the kind of table play that I enjoy at pokerstars where you are betting against another player.. looks like it is more of a video type poker against the dealer. I appreciate the tip but I don't think that is what I am looking for.

Bovada is a poker site just like stars is. You play against other players. The only difference is that it is anonymous tables to prevent the use of HUDs. There is a HUD for bovada but the downside of it is that it is for a table session only so in effect you'd just have a rough outline on a players style rather than being able to build a large number of hands to analyse a players leaks in order to exploit them. As for attracting sports bettors , whats wrong with that , clueless players gambling there sports bet winnings on the poker table gives a win rate boost to serious poker players who have an idea about how to play poker .

The other network with liquidity for US players is WPN where huds are allowed and rakeback is available . As such most grinders will play there and standard of play is likely to be tougher. I'm in europe and don't play US primetime or on US facing sites so can't give a good idea of gameplay between the two.Main sites on the network are Americas cardroom , black chip poker and true poker

Another option is merge network with Carbon poker being the main site. Rewards to players through VIP scheme are being cut back though and rakeback has disappeared

oh I see nothing wrong with sports betting, I am just not a sports fan, so I would be one of those clueless betters, lol. thanks for the info, you seem very knowledgeable. I think I will look a little closer at the bovada site, and check out this wpn as well. I have played on carbon berfore but it was a while back I didn't really care for it, the graphics seemed weak and I just didn't feel as comfortable there so I didn't get in to it very quickly so I moved on. maybe i'll give it another try. thanks again!!
