anti-usa paradise now a nit-fest
Well, so this isn't the appropriate forum, but to me it is appropriate because sometimes we want to post to the other members we know best, and for me that is here.
So, the day after the new legislation was signed by Mr. shrub, paradise notified american players that we are in effect no longer welcome. For the next month, we are allowed to play with our current bankroll, but no american player will be allowed to add any money to their br or to play after 30 days.
So, now, a little over a week later, I'm still playing on paradise, and it's changed from the normal loose-aggro fish-fest to a weak-tight nit-fest!!
From my experience at short handed SNGs, a weak-tight nit-fest is actually about twice as profitable as a loose-aggro fish-fest, so no complaints there.
So, I've been cleaning up at the 5-max nl tables, and just played a full table SNG where all 10 players were left after 30 hands and half were still left after 60!
Smell any weakness at all, just make a big bet, and all will fold.
Guess I have an idea what Ivey feels like now.
But really, Paradise used to have 3-6k players any nite. Tonight they didn't have 800!!!!
The quickie (turbo) tourneys used to be filled 30 minutes b4 scheduled start for the $5 buy-ins. Now, none of the 50 or 100 maxes get more than 5 players, and are cancelled b4 they start.
So, I wonder if Paradise will stick with they're new anti-american policy now that they have about 20-30% of the players they used to have.
