It seems the issue is that PE creates data used by multiple people, and is therefore in a sense, colluding.

I hope they will soon take the next step and stop people from datamining observed hands meaning that you will have to participate in the hand to get the handhistory.

Well, in any case, I just dumped PE from my comp and canceled my subscription. I've had it for 2 payments. At first it was fun looking at all the stats of all my ops, and seeing the 10/20 game donators with bottom lines of -14k but it was only ever useful against people with mouse icons and bomb icons. But in those instances, it was very useful. I'm a little sad to see it go, becuase it is a clear advantage for me. But I have wanted the removal of all these types of programs for a while. I think it was a crutch that was making my play more and more passive. Before, when I didnt really know my ops. I wanted to come off as an aggressive player so that I could better understand what my ops were doing to counter me. But since I've had the stats, I've become more passive expecting PE to do all the heavy lifting for me. Well, it's back to the good old days of 3 betting every min-raiser!

Right to the left of you....
It appears there might be a sliver of hope for the PE guys. Rumors are going like crazy, so who really knows what the truth is. Last I heard, Poker Prophecy was what sparked the fire with Party.

I'm friends with someone who works in the marketing part of Party Poker, and I asked her about Poker Prophecy and how they felt about them spamming the chat box during play.

I'm sure we've all seen it. "Wanna know if the player to the right is a fish" poker prophecy dot blah blah

Well, that was really putting it in the face of Party, and probably is what initiated the inquiry into all these tools. So there still might be a sliver of a chance that Poker Edge will still be alive.

One thing is for sure, I don't think we should all just pack up and abandon them right away. Obviously you'd be a fool to risk your bankroll right now at a party skin, but maybe, just maybe, things might iron themselves out.

    I very much doubt it.

They have clearly stated in black and white that Poker Edge is banned, I don't think they would lie?

    Hey gorilla..

I don't know if effects PokerSherlock as I been using it and didn't get any such emails, though they were straight up honest with us on their member forums and said that it seems party is taking steps against a competitor software (PE and PT possibly) and that they are giving us a heads up and recommend for us to think about using other sites they support.

I really think a lot of this has to do with Party Empire going public, and thus being more strict, not sure though. One thing PokerSherlock has of PE is that they support a wide range of sites, 100 or so I think. PE is pretty screwed as they only supported party skins. And even as I write this is seems PE's site and board is down and not working properly.

I don't really care much for party skins anyway, I only play there once in a while, so I'll probably just play at the other many sites PokerSherlock supports for now and not take any risks just to be on the safe side.

lemonade was a popular drink and it still is
I got a nasty gram from Empire on Friday night informing me that my account has been flagged for using such tools. Bye bye, PE.

I think other similar programs will share the same fate as PE once Party realizes they are out there too. I've used PE for a little over a month and it was nice, but really didn't tell me much more than I could gather after sitting a few orbits at a table.

Today I got this lette from Empire. I did use trial versions of Sherlock and Edge yesterday, so I don't know if they are referring to one or the other.
