PokerStars Weekly News Update 3/12/2012
.) The Sunday Million 6-year Anniversary finished yesterday. The massive $6M guarantee prize pool was split up a bit, as 8 players decided to chop at the final table. The big winner? 3rd place finisher "HesBluffingx" who took home $552,927.89 after the deal. Overall, there were 33,372 players in the field, creating a massive $6,746,400 prize pool.
.) The Asian Pacific Poker Tour's finale, in Cebu (Philippines), takes place April 25th-30th. Players can qualify online at PokerStars through $1.10 or 10 FPPs satellites. To find all the qualifiers head to the Regional Tab in the Tournament Lobby.
.) There has been a ton of high-stakes cash game action on PokerStars lately, especially in PLO and 8-game. Also, both Isildur and Lars Luzak have been battling at $4937+$63 Heads-up SNGs. These turbo SNGs are a great way to get in some quick action and rack up the FPPs.
.) PokerStars has decided to meet with poker players at their headquarters in the Isle of Man. It seems representatives from forums will be invited to discuss "sensitive, confidential matters". The main topic for discussion appears to be the recent change to the VPP structure.
