PT'er - keep other player's stats, and restart ur own?

Ok, here's a couple of things that I'd like to be able to do with PT, however, I haven't been able to figure out how yet.

Can anyone guide me in the right direction?

o I'd like to be able to see stats for all my opponents for the entire time that I've been collecting hand histories, but only view mine from a certain date onwards (or any arbitrarily assigned date filter). (I would have thought that the "Session Dates" settings on the Preferences tab will allow my to do this, but using that date filtering doesn't seem to have any affect on what I see on say the General Info. tab or elsewhere).

o Put another way, I'd like to be able to "start over" in terms of looking at my results/stats, auto-rating etc, but not lose all the valuable info I've collected about my opponents. I thought about just starting a new DB, but that means I'll lose all the HH data I've collected about my opponents. (importing these hostorical HHs into the new DB would just result in my stats coming into the new DB too)

o In general, I'd like to be able to look at my performance in x-month long chunks, incrementally going back in time, to see if the improvements I've been incorporating in my game are showing in my results.

o A simple example would be I'd like to be able to see what my VP$IP (and other important stats) is for Mar-1 onwards, Feb-1-05 onwards etc.

o Another example would be: Run the 'More Details" report from the General Info. tab, but have the behind the scenes calculations ignore all my play before a certain date

o Another example would be auto-rate all opponents for all time, but only auto-rate me for the last month (or any defined time-frame) and ignore my play in previous months

These things must be easy to do, but I can't seem to figure out how. I tried starting a new DB, but of course, I lose all opponent data, which doesn't bode well for when you are running PlayerView while playing. There must be a more flexible & easier way to accomplish this kind of analysis.

I'm going to post this in the PT forums too, and will update this thread with what I've learned from there, but if anyone here at FTR has any thoughts, please share.

Thanks in advance!

o I have about 12K hands in my current DB so far
o I play exclusively on Empire
o Just playing limit for now, and will continue that way for the foreseeable future, so I don't need to worry about NL, or tournament data
