Flopping hidden quads....destined to be a small pot?

I was just lucky the guy called with a pair of queens on the river. I actually think I maximized this hand.....how would you guys maximize it? I was just praying somebody had AX.....anything... :lol:

I would consider betting small on flop in the hopes that someone has either an ace or a flush draw. If a player has a flush draw, then I would be losing value by not betting, since the player would probably be willing to pay to draw dead. If for some reason I got raised on the flop by some opponent with a pair of aces, I would probably check-raise on the turn, then make a callable value bet on the river. If one or more players called on the flop, I would make another small to medium-sized bet on the turn and then do the same on the river, perhaps increasing the size of my bet if a third flush card came. If another ace came, I'd consider moving all-in to bust a player unfortunate enough to have aces full.

I suppose a min bet wouldnt have scared everyone off and confused them a bit....but with no raise PF, I thought that I had to let someone catch up. Nobody really did, I just got lucky that the guy was an idiot and called my value bet. If you do bet small on a flop like that and everyone is scared, are you at the wrong table, or just SOL?

I knew that someone sitting on AA, AX would at least call me down, but it doesnt seem to look like anyone had a damn thing.
