Tunes to top up my iPod

Ok, I am looking for some tunes to fill up my iPod.

I generally like stuff like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden etc

Any tips?

Get every song from Bloc Party's album, Silent Alarm.

Crazy good band.

The new Ben Folds album - Songs for Silverman - has been treating the wife and I really well.

Have you heard Ben Harper - try one of his first albums, Welcome to the cruel world or Fight for your mind

Softer folky stuff - Amos Lee, Ray Lamongtange, Damien Rice

Morphine

Matthew Sweet - start with Girlfriend, go from there.

I'm assuming you either don't like or just didn't mention the pumpkins, plenty of pod filler there. Also Jane's addiction

Steal I mean purchase the new System of a Down.

I recommend a preview before buying SOAD... I dunno, to me it sounds like weird Al doing SOAD. I'm not a huge fan or anything, I may not get it. Enjoyed the album before this until it got overplayed, this one...

may i suggest some Bloc Party?

thanks! I like the limited stuff I've heard from Ben Folds Five. Ben Harper also seems to have done lots of stuff w/ Pearl Jam from what I can make of these naughty file sharing programs :wink: , so that's got potential

Awesome live band.... Kinda bridges the gap between 90's grundge and todays alternative rock.

If you plan on playing poker with the iPod during a tournament, what would you play? I would change music for each level. I have never and will probably never actually put on my iPod during an onland tourney but if I did....

Early:

Indian Classical Music: Ustad Shahid Parvez (I study the sitar and this is the best player ever!! This music is relaxing and meditative so it will keep me chilled out early on and help me focus)

Middle:

Tool or Alice In Chains: Time to kick it up a notch! Ready to switch gears

Bubble:

I am reaching into my Black Metal collection because it is all about being pure evil at this point :twisted:

I think I listened to Kasabian's tune L.S.F. about 20 times in a row one day...killer tune!

Another great band that flies under the radar and is way overdue for another CD is Deadsy.

Might be their best, but Doolittle is the one that seems to make its way into my player most frequently.
