I was reading this thread and I'm surprised at the reaction Demitri got for re-raising with AA from some board members. I must be fundamentally mistaken about how you would play this hand and maybe the game in general.
I would re-raise with AA as well. My logic being (or probably lack thereof as it seems) would be to "protect" my hand from being outdrawn. If anyone could constructively critique why I'm wrong in this thinking and how you would go about playing it better it would be greatly appreciatted. :roll:

You misunderstood us I think.
The guys above me were asking why he bothered to post such a boring hand. They were not doubting how he played it. He made the right play. It was just such a basic play that none of us really cared about it and wondered why he would post it.
And I was calling his opponent a moron for going over the top all in with QQ.
