Did I overplay JJ?
I'd just sat down at the table and raised the last 4 hands or so because I was actually getting good starting hands. The last hand a shortstacked player reraised me for an extra $9 PF for half his stack so I folded out. Very next hand JJ. The turn brought a flush draw and I called $10 into a $50 pot and i discounted implied odds since i figured there'd be none.

Here's the problems I see with this hand (and I've fallen into the same trap myself).
You are reraising JJ with 3 behind you and OOP and get two callers.
I think given you are OOP, I would just call there an reevaluate on the
flop. You are likely up against AK or AQ. Maybe even QQ.
The flop looks ok for you but you are out of position. Why make a pot sized bet there? Why not 1/2 the pot? I would try to limit the size of the bets here for a chance at a cheap showdown. Had you smooth-called PFR, you could have bet $5 here to get information on your villain. But because the pot is so big you need to bet a larger amount or risk getting run over. If the villain, raises your $5 bet you can get out right there, knowing you are beat.
You check on the turn and he bets with the flush draw. So he has AQ. But he may have the Ah or the Qh so this is a fold for me. I don't want to be drawing dead to a flush.
