This looks very standard to me, really. There's a club flush draw out there, he called down with a probable draw to it, and hit it. Check and hope he bets low so you can see it cheap. If he seems to value bet it (1/2 - 3/4 pot) you can comfortably fold. If he overbets you might consider a call though.

The only hands I can really see him playing this way are these:

AK/KQ - you're losing and want a cheap showdown, or to fold
JJ/TT/99 - you're ahead of jacks, behind tens, behind nines
two big clubs - you're losing and want a cheap showdown or to fold

On the river after two cold calls, with the flush draw landing plus an overcard on the board, I'm pretty much always checking and hoping he lets me off the hook cheap. Although your queens were almost certainly the best hand pre-flop, it looks to me like there's a very low chance they're still good on the river. Therefore I only want to call a bet that gives me pot odds that go along with my feeling about the hand... basically, 3:1 or better.

I've had some good players take this exact line against me, hoping a club hits, overbetting pretty big into my TPGK or overpair to the flop when I check the river flush card, and show me a stone cold bluff. I remember Bruson talking about this play in super system, and I feel it's fairly standard short-handed.

My question is: should you maybe put a blocking bet out here so you don't put a "for sale" sign on the pot? If so, how much (don't want to make the pot out of control if he has it, but you don't want to look obviously weak, either)? Finally, how would your line be different if you had AK here (no clubs)?

I liked the $10 bet on the flop, that was right. I didn't really like the $15 bet on the turn though. Here is how I saw it:

Pre-flop: pot = $15 with you being the agressor because of your reraise:
Flop : a nice $10 bet, but it gets called (pot size = $35 after this round)
Turn: here you see a card that can finally beat you drop. Betting $15 into a $35 pot makes it almost look like you're on a draw yourself. That is, it doesn't scream 'don't fucking call this bet' like a pot size bet or even 25-28 range. A check raise might have even been better, but a serious one, not just a minraise checkraise. I sensed weakness here as I read through the HH, maybe the OPP did too? I mean, any idiot suited Kx beats you right here. I am usually in favor of making serious bets when I want to find out what my headsup OPP is really up to. If they're on a draw, they'll _usually_ fold, and if they have a real hand, they go over the top of me and I fold.

I am hoping that you checked the river since you're in early position. Just one of those times where you want to realize 'maybe this isn't the best time for me to try to destack this clown.'
