Yeah I'm not sure why google talk hasn't taken over. Maybe they were late to the party, or maybe skype did some things better. Gtalk runs off an open standard so there's a ton of 3rd party clients that make it avail on virtually all platforms (unlike skype). I'd like to see them win the race but there's often a host of non-technical reasons why google's services lose.Quote:
