Absolutely. $1.40 on the turn was a mistake. I think a weak 80¢ bet was ok on an ace flop, since it could be possible for you to be extracting value for AK or something. Two calls later you're toast.

In the position you're in (first act), it wouldn't be horrible to check fold the flop if you know the players in hand won't bluff.
