Which means all this rap crap that sounds the same and the Britpop (New rock wtf? whateva) shit that is ruling here is just well...balls frankly
If you cant see why then your a dumbass.
What happened to all the good songwriters in any genre?
I listen to violent rap music. Very loudly. Very theraputic. I think. I'm hungry, where are some babies...
There was actually a thread with this exact same title started probably a year or so ago. Quite a few responses too - u could probably search for it or revive it by just posting at the bottom.
Yeah metallica rules - old stuff too I agree - St Anger is my least favorite of everything they have done
I listen to a lot of techno and trance
ooh ... are you a chicane fan?Quote:

Yeah except for one song he has called "dont give up" Id probably like it if I didnt hate his music video so much. He just made himself look bad in it.Quote:

What about Shpongle....not really my cup of tea but it is still pretty good.Quote:

Ive never really listened to them. Im checking em out on yahoo music now. The first song i listened to sort of reminded me of super nintendo music which is a big plus.Quote:

country music, boys.
country music makes you player better poker. :P
For some reason, I always seem to end up spinning Bob Marley at my home game...something cool about 'I wanna love ya...and treat ya right' as you show down your suck-out draw.
Tool Radiohead > you

Tool, Lateralus
And one other but I forget what it is.
I'm big into prog (Tool, Opeth I consider prog even tho it's death metal)
Anything with Maynard is pretty nifty
Radiohead's a great band. Coldplay is wannabe Radiohead and do it poorly
Trip-hop has been the genre I've been into most of late; Thievery Corp, Portishead (those jerks need to put out a new album), Tricky, Massive Attack (these jerks need to rescind their last album and fire whoever thought getting Sinead O'Connor was a good idea), Zero Seven, et al
Hopefully Tool will put out their album this year, I'd like to follow them around again.
rock and rock only
I found that the Alternative lifestyle I was subscribing to was nothing but a fraud. They claim to be anti-establishment, yet sell their names to record labels, T-Shirt manufacturers, online music representation and Ticketmaster.
So I Decided to become anti-establishment in the best way possible. EZ listening Muzak!
whoa whoa whoa, rap is music too
Bloc Party
Razorlight
Oasis
Foo Fighters
The Who
I used to be what you might broadly classify as goth but not really...technically I'm into electronic/EBM/industrial stuff:
VNV Nation
Apoptygma Berzerk
Wolfsheim
Assemblage 23
Suicide Commando
and 80s bands like the Cure, New Order.
I also have a soft spot in my heart for classic rock/blues:
Led Zep
Pink Floyd
Jimi
Robert Johnson
Jeff Beck
etc.
At this moment:
Young Jeezy w/ Mannie Fresh
And then what?
I like music with a solid rhythm and beat. This rules out hardcore metal and county.
By far my favorite 2 acts are Green Day and 50 cent.

My 2 favorite things to listen to right now would have to be Radiohead and Immortal Technique, definitely.
Radiohead rules.
Dredg, Incubus, Sparta, Chevelle, Kanye West, At the Drive In, Breaking Benjamin, Death Cab for Cutie, Outkast, Head Automatica, Glassjaw, Ben Kweller, Foo Fighters, Jeff Buckley, Motion City Soundtrack, Rage Against the Machine, The Alkaline Trio, Deftones, Brand New, The Shins, Jack Johnson, and Against Me!...to name a few. I find that I absolutely have to listen to music when I'm playing. Can't deal with silence.
Frank Sinatra.
Went through the Iron Maiden, Dio, Metallica, etc. phase back in the day. I'm not an angry youth anymore.
Kenny Chesney, just the island stuff (big fan of the USVI).
Jack Johnson.
Cake.
I'm mellow these days.

lots of hip hop, some country like Robert Earl Keen, ah tons of stuff
At my home game when action is slowing down I fire on AC/DC and the bets really start flying, seriously!
As for online I like more laid back; dylan, four tet, aphex twin, boards of canada, sigur ros, albulm leaf etc etc. Mainly electronic ambient stuff.
Nice work man...the new sigur ros is real good. Someone else mentioned the decemberists, their new album rules pretty hard.Quote:
