I'm in SB, and villain is on BB. Blinds are .25/.50. Villain has been tilting after being broken 4 times.

you were really committed to call the river all in when you called on the turn. that was the point at which you could have gotten out of the hand w/o losing more. watch out for the short stack, the only weapon they really have is to go all in, so decide in advance if you want that to happen or not.

I guess I also left out the fact that the button was big stack that was sitting at about $80 bucks. He was the one who bet the flop, so I was hoping this was my chance to double up.

I guess I really didn't like this outcome because I was seeing a lot of nice cards that night, and flopped a flush twice in a row, only to be beaten by short stack.

What would your moves be if it was a $20 bet I had to call?

did it every occur to you to protect the hand on the flop with at least a mini raise?
live that would have been my play, it may have killed the action, but i like that pot there and then.

i would have raised the flop because its live and theyll call. you dont want another diamond showing up because even if you still do have the best hand, it will scare away the money. plus, you don't want the board to pair or even double pair. i'm insta-calling that turn bet.
