Is this check behing on the river too weak? While I didn't think he was likely to have a full house, can he call another bet on the river without one? Maybe I should've just made a small value bet.

Hand one I don't see many worse hands paying you off, I'd probably check behind too.

Hand two it looks like he also has a flush (at best Q-high, since you have AK), I'd try a bit smaller of a reraise and hope to get a call.

First hand I might have made a smallish bet of 15 dollars hoping for a call (if my flush was good). I don't blame you for checking though.

First hand.. why pf raise? I put him on 2pair or trips hoping to fill. They won't call the river as they probably put you on AA pf.

Second hand I do what you do. Otherwise I call, hope the river doesn't pair, and check raise.

First hand I raised preflop because I had a reasonable hand and was in position. I think raising and taking the lead is almost always better than limping when in position with a hand that has some potential, providing the table is reasonably tight.

On the turn, it didn't seem likely anyone had a full house, so I went ahead and lead out to hopefully get called by a lesser flush and protect against someone filling up on the river with a pocket pair.

Hand 1: Id limp preflop, we still have 5 people to act after us.

Hand 2: Im not quite sure that villian is on a set, his flop call on the flop then a re-raise on the 3rd flush card doesnt add up. I call, then figure of the river.

There are only three players that I'd have to fold out in order to have last action after the flop.

Anyways, I have a good hand, I'm going to raise with it in late position. I don't need A, A, K, K double suited to raise here.

My bad, MP1 and LP is the same thing. There is a lot inbetween AAKK double suited and KKA5 a suited. You dont have to justify yourself to me.

Since my hand converter called my position "MP1," then obviously I'm not in late position in any meaningful sense.

Do you actually have a point to make, or are you just being a smartass?

I don't think KKA5 suited is a good enough hand to raise in that position either. But I'll be nice about it. :)

If it's good enough to play, how could it possibly be wrong to raise in this position, assuming a reasonably tight table?
