High pairs early - HH

Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to the forum and these are my first HH postings. A bit of background – I’ve been playing poker for about a year flitting backwards and forwards between limit ring and No limit tourneys, but have finally decided the SnG format is where I think I should be. I’ve played 122 tourneys (116 x $10 and 6 x $20). My ITM is 41.8% and my return on investment is 21.45. I realise that this is far too few a number to get a full picture but thought it was worth stating.

I realise that this second one was a mistake with the amount I bet on the flop, far too much. However, for some reason I missed the fact that the board had paired before posting the bet. I would normally have bet around 150, which would have been easier to get away from!
