id like to hear the theory behind checking that flop
-
-
Yeah no theory, spur of the moment I know a stupid play.
What i'm wondering is do you call the turn.
-
Checking a overpair in a multi-way flop is gonna lose you a ton of money in the long run, don't become a weak tight.
Rule #1 of poker vs fishies: RAISE RAISE RAISE RAISE RAISE RAISE RAISE RAISE RAISE RAISE RAISE RAISE RAISE RAISE
-
you're right, i shouldn't have checked the flop. But even though i made this mistake, what should i do on the turn?
-
Don't say you're hand when you're faced with a decision....thats against the rules.
-
What about heads up when the other guy go all in? is it still illegal to say your hand? (basicelly when you are last to play)
-
I personally bet the flop, it's not even like you were looking to checkraise.
Any king might make that play after you checking behind, KJ, a set...a lot of hands. I get all the money in personally, but I try and do it on the flop.
I also have zero talent at reading hands at this level, so I usually ride the variance.
I don't know, though. I assume you folded, if you're weak enough to check that flop. If you were checking it to induce betting, then by all means, bet.
