Hmmm. I like this if you are new to the table or if you skip the cbet more than just this time. I like to throw the same size cbet out each time. Otherwise, a missed cbet from you will set off some alarms. I'm sure you are aware of this.

oh dear.... poor little SB gets savaged.

This is a clear destacking to me if the villain has anything. You can't bet $12 here, because it assumes the villain has something like TT, and he's almost as likely to call $12 as $30+ with that hand on this board, which is slightly on the unlikely side. I play this for the noose every time.

The 12 dollar bet ensures fnord gets called by a potential weak hand (low pocket or even a high). The AI only ensures hes getting called by a flush or a slowplayed jack (although, I see a slowplayed jack betting the turn).

Unless SB is really that bad and makes the supposed call of his lifetime with 4-4, but since it's too early to have a read on him (or know why he's so short stacked) the 12 dollar bet ensures some money

...or entices somebody to get cute.

I think checking the flop is pretty standard. No sense in being aggressive when you might be drawing dead to two outs. Playing cautiously when a big pair flops in these situations is best, I think. I'd just push all-in on the river and hope he has a J or a flush.
