10NL hand advice please.

Okay this is my first post of a hand (it has been bothering me a bit), it makes it harder that I play on Pacific, so bare with me.

This is being played in 10NL. No solid reads.

I get 10 10 UTG+1.

UTG calls the 10c blind, I call, two more callers round to the button who raises to 40c.

SB folds, BB calls, UTG folds then I call. One player in middle position folds, and the player to the left goes all in for $2 (he has just been knocked down to $2 from $10 the previous hand). The button calls $2.
BB folds.

The action is around to me. At this point in time we have 4 left in the hand. Player in middle position who is yet to call the $2 raise (who has $9.60). The player to the left who is all in, and the button (who now has $8.20 left).

I push my $11.50 in.

Sorry for the crappy layout of this post. I'd like opinions. Good? Shocking?

Not shocking, just not a normally +EV move at these stakes...

That seems like a better move for a SnG then a 10NL table.

I have been playing 10NL at TotalPoker. I would have raised to .5(I always raise .5 at 10NL) It would put you in a better spot than having to worry about calling with guys behind you where as you would figure out where you are at by raising in the begining.

They way you played it I would have either called or folded the $2 raise depending on reads, I owuld probably fold at 10NL I camp and wait for the good hands and pound chips in.


With the TT seeing the flop with a few other guys they are probably holding AX KX even QX, chances are one of these will hit before the river and most players think their High card is good and will call your bets till they make thier hand which can be a good thing but not when you have a few people doign it unless you make your set any overcard kills you I think.

I practice what I preach and love to gamble it up with short buys. Although, I think I made a silly LHE mindset bad flop play. If I was dealing with a more aware player, it would be downright terrible....

UTG has Qs Ks (one pair, tens).

With 10 10, in early position? Is that standard? EDIT: I just saw Fnord's hand, in exactly the same position, and I guess so, eh?


Results:

Guy in middle position yet to call the $2 folded. Button called with A3 hearts. The all in guy had 87o. My tens held up against pair of 3's and pair of 8's.

As soon as I had done it I thought, "what have I done?" but then the results came and I thought maybe it wasn't so bad afterall :oops:. I guess I was just lucky to be playing against freakishly bad players.

This hand is so nutzo in many different directions, I don't know how to answer. And also, I am by no means a NLHE expert, so my advice might be totally off...

You limp, then call a small re-raise, then PUSH over a player who's already AI?? All PF?? With TT??

Would've been an interesting, crazy pattern for AA or KK or maybe QQ, AK?, but TT is just too vulnerable...

Now that I think about it, this is probably the only stakes (outside of other micro limits $2NL and such...) where TT would be the best hand in this situation. Even then, I wouldn't expect it to get paid off most of the time. Especially with people calling with crap like your opponents had...

Just call and prey no one raises behind you...

Short stack going all in after losing a big hand?
He has no tighter a range than any two cards at 10nl
Button cold calls...solidifying our read of a worse hand than TT
TT is the best hand almost every time....ALL IN
I can understand Fnord's distaste for this hand as he is a post-flop poker player but this play is clearly correct as he's facing 2-3 overs much more often than 4...in this case only 1!!
