I don't think a call would necessarily be bad here, but a fold is not bad either.

depends how likely you are to have induced a bluff. I would usually fold.

blocking bet >>>> c/c or c/f line on river. i only check the river if i plan on calling a push.
by throwing out a blocking bet of $4, you can fold to his push. by checking you leave yourself largely in the dark. the $4 also works as a value bet if he calls down with second pair.
checking induces pushes by worse hands but also by better ones obv. i call this just because i KNOW im going to call it when i check the river (IF i were to check it).
also dont play 9s so hard oop.
