What's my play? I had to think for some time here, not sure if I made the right play. Only played a few hands with the guy, but from what I seen so far he's loose and fishy, so his range when re-raising preflop in position is probably pretty wide.

He's betting $50 into a $25 pot, what makes him do this? Does he likely want a fold or a real bad push/call?

if hes fishy then i would just go allin and hope he calls with AK.

most overbets i see @ $200NL indicate a draw or a pair/draw combo of some sort, and usually not an overpair in this situation. i have almost come to respect the overbet less than a potsized bet as a result. however, results vary from player to player and it's vital that you make the right decision here for 1/4 buyin + more can be expected on later streets. it's not impossible to think that he'd overbet an overpair since he minraised you PF, though. if he's a good player, he might have minraised your PF bet w/ a mid PP and when he flopped trips, he tries to antagonize you into pushing back over w/ an over pair.

i dunno, you've only put in $12 at this point with a medium PP, for $50 you can't find a better spot in position later on, especially if you think he's loose and fishy? i think you can.

I think you are beat. He raised you preflop and then 2x'd the flop. Smells like QQ trying to take it down before an Ace or King comes out. Reads would be nice.

I was very close to going all in and hoping for AK too call. But AA-JJ are also possibly hands he might have, even though they are not that likely with the way he played. He might also like alias mentioned overbet a set like this, it's so hard to say, and only investing $12 I decided to pick a better spot in this case. I think it's real close though.

you only played a few hands with him, and thats not really enough to say hes fishy unless you have really good evidence. folding is easy.

Fold, if he keeps playing like this, you'll eventually get his stack.

I don't think so - partly due to the board being non-threatening. You want to see his cbet size to gauge what he wants to do. 2x seems odd, but it's not worth it to find out.

I had some evidence he was pretty fishy, I was in a hand with him when he was calling down my pot-sized bets when I flopped the flush. Or first he raised me, I 3-bet and he called down big bets on turn and river. Board was KJT hearts, 5 not heart, J not heart. He had AK with no hearts. Looks pretty fishy to me, it's only one hand though, so yeah, I think folding was correct.
