Party 1/2 6max. second orbit- no reads.
MP opens for 7, i reraise to 25 from CO with JsJd, he calls.
Flop 9s8s3s, hes got ~135 left
What would Brian Boitano do?

bet $2
Bet $40
Ok, he checks, I bet 40, he minraises to 80 (170 in pot, he has 55 behind) what is the play?
In other words, against random opponent, do I lose less by getting it all in here or giving up 65$
Well I don't play 6max but lets say the average players range on the flop is:
AA,KK,QQ, AKs, AQs
He didn't get odds preflop to call your reraise for set value but lets say TT,99,88 for good measure.
Suited connectors? TJs? 89s?
Do 6max players call reraises like this with KQs or AJs?
The way he plays the flop pisses me off consistently with these shortish stack pricks, they're big enough for it to hurt if you lose but not big enough to give you any room to manouvre.
He either:
1) puts you on high cards. Unlikely he's making a pure move because you repped a big pair preflop. Maybe he'd do this with high spades to back up his aggression. He would have pushed if he wanted a fold.
2) has a big pair and you're screwed.
3) hit the flop in some fucked up way and you're screwed.
edited because I misread the hand.
I think its a folder.
Keep in mind that he holds Js. I think it's likely he has AQ or AKo with the A of spades. I think you put your chips in and play. You have plenty outs against a set/2pair, TT could easily make this move. The pot odds are so strong here, if you push it'll be 255:95, or 2.68:1. A little folding equity (maybe 5%) and some outs, the chance you might be best, etc. all make this a good idea.
I did as follows.
equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 45.2243 % 45.13% 00.10% { JdJs }
Hand 2: 54.7757 % 54.68% 00.10% { QQ+, TT-88, 33, AsKs, AsQs, AsKc, AsQh, JTo }
Oh crap yea sorry, I was assumong there was only 2 spades on the flop. With 3 then all the hands I said were suited more likely only have the As with the way the villan played.
I push over the top get ur money in with the best hand let him chase it will pay you off more then not....
