dannyd267 ????
I had just sat down on this table and had no reads. I was thinking..."What the hell does this guy have?" Is he slow playing pocket Jacks. He open bet on the turn so I was thinking he liked his hand. He called a pretty big reraise on the turn...
Your thoughts?

I check behind here most of the time. It looks like he's slow playing. Possibly just another 8, but that's the only thing paying off the river bet that doesn't beat you. I don't want to give the donk playing J8 anymore than I have to. Pot is decent enough. Let him take a relatively small pot for slow playing if that's what he did...

Hey! I love- J8s/Q9s - hot ass hands...in the HJ-Button slots
:-P
I don't think that's what we're dealing with, however - 9T, a pair that didn't believe you on the flop, possibility of another 8/J.
You're ahead most of the time here when the villain checks the river out of position.
Villain is probably check-folding, so a $20 bet here is reasonable. Only thing to worry about is JJ/66, and there's just not a lot you can do about those except perhaps fold to a river open-push, which didn't happen in this case.
If he has 89 - he played it very oddly. I should say that I don't absolutely hate a check-behind here since I think villain is most-likely check-folding anyway.

if you dont like it dont bet, but id bet for value more than not here.
