why not check/raise hand 1? Not too many free cards beat you. 67 already pwns, and a single 6 or 7 splits the pot if it makes straight. 69/79 only hands to worry. But still 4 outs or maybe 5 outs to 2 pair / trips for a lower pair.
For some reason I think he's floating.
Actually I would not be surprised to see sets here in both hands. Hand 2 kinda looks like 87 or AT though.... until the turn. Two semi-bluff raises? I'd be impressed even as an 80/20. Two pair or set. 2P is not at all odd from an 80/20 here.

Hand 1, push river.
Hand 2 I play about the same. Call flop raise OOP and leading turn planning to fold to a raise is often a good line in these situations.
