$100NL KK deepstacked vs other deepstack

No stats on villian. My read is pretty much every push he's had the nuts or close. Do you play this different? How about pre-flop? I thought about the call. I had position on him as well. Was it a weak fold? To me it just smelled like aces.

That's a very strange board to just push the flop like that. There's an awful lot cheaper ways to "make you" fold. If I had Aces and I was him, I'd do a nice $45 or so bet to keep the action going, but not commit myself with a possible set or something. Looks to me like he tried to pick off your $4 and is now trying to make you go away.

Were you really aggro in preceding hands? If so, this may be a set, considering your line is an obvious KK or AA.

I think you actually might be ahead here.

Then again I don't play 100NL, so what do I know?

i saw this once and got shown AA so id probably muck preflop or push, but you simply have too much behind to push. I dont really think you can call here but im open to other option and arguements.

its obvious he wants to get this all-in asap, and I don't usually see tag's play with such blind aggression with such deep stacks with qq or worse. nh.

i also like the preflop call. chance of set + chance of showing down a winner = +EV. I think QQ slows WAY down after the flop with so much money behind. this is "how to play scared 101".

I would push this all in preflop and pay off AA. Am I too much of a gambler? How much have you been raising preflop, what image does he have of you? I am sure JJ+ and AK are in his range (unless he is a nit), you beat all but one of his hands preflop...

I haven't played ring a lot lately, maybe I am thinking too much like a tournament player. Last Sunday Million at PP I pushed my QQ after a raise and got called by...KK (luckily I already was ITM). But I kept thinking if it was really neccesary afterwards. I think I would have paid him off post flop anyway with no A or K on the board...

bah, painful fold but I think it's right. Villian's line does smack of AA. Was the bet on the flop instant? i.e. flop comes down and before you've even had chance to look, villian is AI?!?

IMHO, I just write off my money pre-flop and thank villian for being so bad that if he had AA here, he just missed out on $200.

It was a pretty much an instant push. I let the timer run out thinking about the call. At $100NL, most of the time a huge re-raise is either AA or KK. I have seen it with JJ/QQ at times but more often than not it's the top two hands.

I wasn't raising too much or being out of line either. I just couldn't get the feeling out of my gut that I was beat. Still having $190 left to call also made it a little difficult to justify it. To me anyways.

Yeah, villain plays this donkishy. His reraise is excessive and his push is stupid. This would be a good spot to try to rep a whiffed AK...reraise to $12 preflop, lead out with a c-betty looking 1/2 potter then reraise.

I'd consider slowplaying preflop here too. We're already HU so there's no need to reraise to isolate. Flat call, check/raise the flop, although you'd be pissed at yourself if Hero had TT.

I like this AA play vs a typical opponent.

He cut off implied odds pre-flop, makes it somewhat hard to get away from KK/QQ and concedes that nothing else is paying us off.

Anyone else fold pre-flop?

Most of the time you get a PF call and a fold on the flop. The PF call is fine for my AA profit if that is all I get.
