IE => your profile and turn off all avatars
firefox + AdBlock => selectively remove avatars

You won't be sucking any dicks. You have to be chosen for the FTR blogs. And I don't think anyone's going to choose you.

Begging or petitioning for one will only hurt your (already slim) chances.
