IF you are going to get your money in, do it on the turn, don't wait for the FD to complete.

I had a hand like this one time, and it was pointed out to me that it was a dangerous play. Remember that if you hit your set, it puts a possible str8 on the board for someone else.

Overaggressive and lucky. Always consider whether your make card will be a scare card. In this case no. What does that mean? Well, once your opponent min-check raises the flop, you know he's looking to build a big pot. If you just call here, hitting your card will not destroy your action.

What you did here, is you jammed the flop with possibly the worst hand, after your opponent announced your fold equity to be next to zero. When your fold equity dissapears, and you're on a draw, look to be more passive and fall back on calling odds. Your opponent couldn't have been more nice by min-check raising the hand you had. Call, hit, and drain.

True, but I correctly put him on an overpair so the FD wasn't much of a worry, nor was a straight, plus I had an open ended straight draw so I knew I had outs.

How about the flop play, good? Or should I just call the dollar raise and play from there?

No need to reraise. If he pushes over, do you call?

I agree with Rondavu that you have no FE, and I would just call the raise and try to hit my draw at that point....

Cool, thanks for the heads up. As soon as I made the re-re-raise I realized that he could just push, and in that case I may have to fold. It turned out good, but for next time I'll just flat call in this type of situation.
