BTW, I've done this a million times with KK here, and I don't think I've ever gotten a call. So I figured what the hell, why not?

Pot is too small, Im pretty sure when Prahlad does it there is a bit more meat on the bone. Also he plays the same people more often and for longer so he can really start getting under their skin with his overbet steals and force them to start making heroic calls. His overbets are part of a bigger gameplan\style that forces people to make really big adjustments to their game that he can exploit, so unless you are going to be playing this guy for a long time I see no point in risking more for the same reward.

This is incredibly read dependent and you didnt post any. How long have you guys been playing? What has he been playing like? What hands do you put him on? What hands do you want him to fold?

This play will work a good amount of the time, but that doesnt make it profitable unless you have the right reads, etc. Im not doubting that you had them, Id just like to know what they were.

yea this move is good but the pot is a little too small for it.

I agree with this a lot too, a huge portion of his profit comes solely from the metagame factors stemming from his image because of moves like this. Some of them may not be immediately profitable, but he does this with enough made hands to make up for it when they make bad calls against him there. Unless your trying to work these moves into your game more consistently and are playing a laggier game, then I dont think this is profitable. Will it get folds? Yes, but do we need to risk this much to get these folds if it isnt part of a "bigger" gameplan?

I've seen many HH's where Prahlad has made similar plays for similarly (effective) sized pots. Of course I'm sure he does it with bigger pots and when is deeper, too. The rest of your post I absolutely agree with. FWIW, I wasn't trying to emulate his game or whatever, I just figured, hell, he'll call a 3/4 pot bet too much with a bare K here, why not just go allin, I know he can't call?

Lol. Nope.

Given the way he played it, I don't think this player can look past the cards and call this bet, regardless of what he has (hint: this is an abysmally terrible call against me, even with a hand as strong as the nut flush).

I think theres no way he could have a boat so, I think its a good play, if hes good and knows you at all he shouldn't call and if hes a big puss like most people playing poker are he probably won't call.
