discussion: the overbet AI
I just read this thread
http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...game-40871.htm
and I was wondering
what do you guys think of the overbet AI, I don't think it should be used too much at the lower stakes and is a move for a deeper level of thinking alot of times with opponents that you have history with
so When? How? and Why do you(if you do) use this play

I'd probably use it much more on lower than higher stakes. Most of the time I will overbet....
1. With a vunerable board where the turn card could seriously damage getting any value from opp. Such as having AA with a J85 board. I raised preflop, BB calls. BB bets flop, I overbet all in.
2. The pot is so small that the chance of him even making one call in 10 with an overbet is good enough.
3. I have a strong draw and would like to induce an opponent to fold in a scary board.
4. I am sure opp has a strong hand but that I have a stronger hand. Here any overbet would be a value bet.
