slow play gone bad
Ok tell me off, I figured that if the river wasnt a heart he would come in with a bigger bet or the same and become more pot commited and i could reraise and as i didnt raise on the turn maybe he'd put me on a bluff. So i was betting that a heart wasnt coming (75% ish) and even if it did drop i still had a slim chance.
Or should i be happy with the $21.50 in the future
PS it would have been nice to see the straight flush so I think I would do the same but ignore this fact if anyone cares to answer.
thanks.
EDIT I just reread and the straight flush may well become part of your answer, imagine 9h on river and he has k high flush.

I'm probably raising this on the flop and turn, and never calling the $15 river bet. What bets out here that you beat?
-
yep bad river call on my part

I don't mind the flop call, but you have to raise this turn. The river is a terrible call.
-
raise the flop, you usually are ahead and have loads of outs if your not.
-
never call this turn.
If you always raise here then you can raise as a bluff here too.

Since the SB raised first AND will be first to act after the flop, I would tend to put him on overcards or PP. As such, with the flop being so favorable to you, I gotta think that reraising the flop sends a message that I got a better hand than you. He calls. Then when you hit your flush on the turn, I would says bombs away. Though I am certainly weak at reading hands, I would think the only hands that call are higher flushes (AQ+) and if that is the case, well you now understand how I lose my money.
Just my $.02
